INTERVENTION
Sinus lift
Sinus lift and bone grafting allow for the creation of sufficient bone volume in the upper jaw to support solid and durable dental implants.
Duration
45 to 90 minutes
Recovery
7 to 14 days
Results
Stable bone support for dental implants
Restoring sufficient bone volume for dental implants
A sinus lift, also known as sinus augmentation, is a surgical procedure that increases the amount of bone available in the upper jaw, beneath the maxillary sinuses.
Over time, tooth loss or certain periodontal diseases can cause significant bone resorption. When bone height becomes insufficient, dental implants can no longer be safely placed.
A sinus lift then allows the sinus membrane to be raised and bone graft material added to create a solid bone base.
At Nobel Dent Clinic Istanbul, this procedure is performed using advanced 3D imaging technologies and modern surgical techniques, guaranteeing maximum precision and long-lasting results.

Who is this treatment intended for?
- • Significant bone loss in the upper jaw
• Dental implant placement impossible due to insufficient bone volume
• Naturally large maxillary sinuses
• Previous tooth loss with bone resorption
• Bone reconstruction prior to implant placement
• Patients seeking a long-lasting implant solution

The course of treatment
Consultation and diagnosis
A complete clinical examination accompanied by 3D imaging (CBCT scan) to accurately assess available bone height and plan the intervention.
Anesthesia and preparation
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia or light sedation to ensure optimal comfort throughout the entire procedure.
Surgical access
A small incision is made in the gum to access the maxillary bone at the level of the upper molars or premolars.
Elevation of the sinus membrane
The sinus membrane is carefully lifted to create a space to receive the bone graft material.
Bone graft placement
A biocompatible synthetic biomaterial is placed in the created space to promote the formation of new, solid bone.
